Pirupa shares his most inspirational tracks

 A talented DJ/producer from Italy, Pirupa has recently separated himself from the pack of successful producers by topping beatport’s charts with his last releases. Now with two of the most downloaded tracks on Beatport ‘Sweet Devil’ in 2009 , ‘Get Funky’ in 2010 and ‘Party Non Stop’ in 2012, the sky’s the limit for this relentless talent from the small peninsula.

Having signed to renowned dance record labels like Drumcode, Crosstown Rebels, Desolat, Intec Digital, Get Physical, Defected, among others he’s next on Non Stop Records with ‘Sunday Morning’ EP.

In this special ocassion we asked him to choose some of his most inspirational tracks ever. Here’s his Top 10:

1. Laurent Garnier – The Man With The Red Face (F Communications)

“My all time favorite track! Still playing it at the end of my sets!”

2. Goldtrix feat Andrea Brown – It’s Love (Trippin)

“One of my first records I bought in my DJ career. I’m still totally on love with this track, with the vocal and the techno chord! A lot of inspiration for my darker side of DJing and Production. Magic Tune!”

3. Junior Jack – Thrill Me (PIAS)

“The best funky tune ever! Still evergreen with that aggressive funky / raw bassline and crazy synth like a siren! Amazing!”

4. Kings Of Tomorrow – Finally (Defected)

“One more tune! One more tune! Classic for me and for all the house music lovers.”

5. Ame – Rej (Innervisions)

“When I heard this track for the first time I was totally in love and wanted to make a record like this. I’m still playing it in almost all my DJ sets, also I produced a private Edit with more drums! Nasty!”

6. Underworld – Two Months Off (Junior Boy’s Own)

“I like all the elements of this track, percussion, vocal and chords. Another track that I’m still playing at the end of my sets, special tune.”

7. Man With Guitar – Man With Guitar (Kitsunè)

“Stuart Price was I one of my heroes when I was a young DJ. He delivered this mega tune with great bassline and huge builds! The crowd goes always crazy with this track.”

8. Silicone Soul – Right On (Soma)

“The strings tune of my life! Anthem of many past of my DJ sets and a really emotional track! Trippy!”

9. DJ Rolando – Jaguar (UR)

“Doesn’t need introduction. I own two vinyl copies! Best Techno tune EVER!”

10. The Bucketheads – The Bomb! (Henry Street Music)

“Yes! The bomb and still a big bomb! The story of house music by that genius from MAW Kenny Dope! Big!”
