Since emerging in 2012 on labels such as Kerri Chandler’s Madtech, Citizenn has continued to work with some of the most critical labels in house and techno: Damian Lazarus’s Crosstown Rebels, Ralph Lawson’s 20:20 Vision, Waze & Odyssey’s W&O Street Tracks, Sante’s Avotre and now John Digweed’s Bedrock.

It was only a matter of time: Citizenn’s smouldering rolling tech-laced sound and John’s widescreen, atmosphere-laden institution are tailored fits. Full focus on the groove throughout, laced with cosmic, hypnotic textures and powered by tungsten-tipped drums; across the three tracks the respected rising UK artist has added to Bedrock’s 18 year legacy with both respect and his own distinctive timeless sound.

‘Confide’ catapults us straight into the heady, sweaty peak of a 3am mix: driving drums, spacey textures and a vibrant hook that worms its up from the ground up gradually grasping more and more of your senses until it’s the only thing in your life…. This is guaranteed to play a lead role in Ibiza and festival this summer.

Next up: ‘U Can’t Rel8’. Tapping into both Citizenn’s house roots with its chugging drums and warm bass and Bedrock’s progressive foundations with deep hypnotic radar elements and star-gazing build, you’ll find you can rel8 to this from both sides of the techno and house boundary.

Finally ‘To The Enlightenment’ seals the deal thank to its voluptuous drum and bassline combination that revolves magnetically. Building subtly over the course of eight minutes with a well-known breathy vocal sample and absorbing rhythmic elements, please keep your heads down; this one rolls out with total immersion…

Dutifully providing dancefloors with solid groove gold for five years and counting; these are some of the best tracks Citizenn has given the world to date. Confide in us today and let us know what you think…
