Misfit Music returns after the initial success of their first release from label honcho montel. Lead track ‘Apollo’ doesn’t mess about. The infectious groove and seductive vocal sample lure you deeper into the track, til you’re hit with a proper uplifting breakdown. Building and building until you’re dropped heavily back into the groove.
The supporting track Zeus is a different beast. Dark & twisted atmospheric synth stabs and pads drive the track into top gear. This one is clearly designed for big dark rooms, with nothing more than a strobe and smoke machine.
Aus Music stalwart, Marquis Hawkes has been drafted in on remix duties. Taking us on 2 completely different journeys. His main remix keeps all the peak time vibes of the original, while featuring his own unique twist. Then his ‘House It Up’ mix sends us straight to Baltimore for an exhilarating organ led slice of old skool Deep House, reminiscent of the early Basement Boys sound.
