The excellent onedotsixtwo label is set to unveil its seventh release to coincide with ADE week and it’s a cracker! With an ethos to seek out and feature the finest world-class talent within the underground progressive house scene, it is time to welcome Arizona USA’s Brenden LaBonte (aka Forerunners) to present his outstanding label debut. The stunning ‘Magnetic Quartz’ also features an intensely creative collaborative remix project that joins Tripswitch with Hernan Cattaneo.

Brenden creates lush, majestic and addictive progressive house music, and as such ‘Magnetic Quartz’ is an exquisitely unique and fascinating production, bearing all the hallmarks of Forerunners’ smooth, precise & clean production style. A totally hypnotic experience, the track builds steadily with a groove swathed in unhurried layers of subtle texture and washes of glorious colour, before bursting into a melodic second-half full of pure joy. ‘Magnetic Quartz’ is a sophisticated and wonderfully subtle journey from the masterful DJ/Producer who has been creating such a stir amongst discerning underground progressive house fans worldwide in 2018, with a steady flow of original productions and remixes on the likes of Sudbeat, Pure Progressive, Silk Selections, Saturate Audio, Or Two Strangers and Afterglow.

On remix duty (following on from his recent ‘Voight Kampff’ collaboration with Nick Warren) comes Tripswitch, this time joining forces with an artist who needs no introduction, the man known to music lovers the world over as El Maestro, Hernan Cattaneo – fresh from scooping the Progressive House category at the prestigious 2018 DJ Awards. This power duo has taken ‘Magnetic Quartz’ to a new level with a remix that floats on dreamlike beauty and resonates with gorgeous sophisticated layers of uplifting melodic joy, carried along on delicate Latin rhythms. With this exceptional package, onedotsixtwo, once again, establishes precisely why truly progressive house music is such a joy to behold.
