“My new track ‘Take Me’ encompasses my different musical inspirations and influences in a very organic way. I wanted to create a track that was driven and fast-paced- but still groovy. I wrote the tune with the intention that it could be played out in a club just as easily as it could be in headphones or in the car. I’ve been a big fan of Understated for quite some time now, so I was very stoked that they saw my vision for the track and wanted to put it out. Micah did a fantastic job at flipping the tune into something very unique and funky. I hope that people enjoy the release!” – Kaysin
About Kaysin
Southern California has an excellent music scene- a scene that Kaysin has been an active member of for the majority of
his life. He started diving deeper into his musical interests while attending college at UCSB. As time went on, he began
playing more shows across southern California- starting with smaller clubs and bars, but slowly working his way up
towards larger venues. His passion for house music and eagerness to get people dancing has given him the opportunity
to play music for people across California and beyond. He is currently based just outside of Los Angeles, where he
spends his days working for Repopulate Mars, playing shows, and producing music.
In 2018, Kaysin spent the majority of his time perfecting his craft in the studio. He released a few tracks on LAZA Records and Sweet Heat Records– but saved most of his newest work to release in 2019. When he decided to step out of the studio, it was usually to throw down a set at one of the many venues he had the opportunity to play- such as Sound Nightclub, Exchange LA, Avalon Hollywood, Focus OC and EOS Lounge. He also found himself leaving California to play sets in cities like Las Vegas and Miami.
Kaysin kicked off the new year by releasing a 3-track EP on Hood Politics Records. With another release on Understated Recordings locked in for March and a multitude of bookings lined up across the country, 2019 is already shaping up to be a big one. Stay tuned!

Launched in October 2016, Understated is a community, event series, and DJ crew that has been creating some of Los Angeles’ most hotly tipped underground parties and club events. Understated Recordings is the label powered and curated by the Understated events team, focusing on house, techno, and everything in between that’s coming out of LA’s thriving underground dance music scene.
