For our 2nd release of 2019, we welcome Philosophia. With a single on our last compilation ‘Pathways’ she is back with her first EP for Beat & Path, ‘Lone Wolf’. A deep percussive enchanting & mystical track that was inspired by her favourite story from Women Who Run With The Wolves. The Sorry of La Loba.. On the flip side, mentor, label boss and good friend of Philosophia, Uone brings the heat futuristic tribal street alley mix for the peak time sets & at the same time a gorgeous ambient lullaby mix featuring Western on the keys.
Enjoy!

There is an old Mexican story about a woman who lives alone, in the desert. She has many names, but only answers to one: La Loba. Wolf Woman.
The sole work of La Loba is the collecting of bones. She is known to collect and preserve especially that which is in danger of being lost to the world. Her cave is filled with the bones of all manner of desert creatures: the deer, the rattlesnake, the crow. But her speciality is said to be wolves.

She creeps through the mountains and the dry riverbeds, looking for wolf bones, and when she has assembled an entire skeleton, she sits by the fire and thinks about what song she will sing. Then she stands over the criatura, raises her arms over it, and sings out. Hence the rib bones and leg bones of the wolf begin to flesh out and the creature becomes furred, La Loba sings some more, and more of the creature comes into being.

So it is said that if you wander the desert, and it is near sundown, and you are perhaps a little bit lost, and certainly tired, that you are lucky, for La Loba may take a liking to you and show you something – something of the Soul. Or more so she will sing the flesh and the life back into your bones, Lone Wolf.
