After kicking off in some style, Max D. Blas and Alex Piccini’s Monologue label follows up with a second sizzling release, this time from YAYA & Lorenzo Chiabotti. The first Monologue release received great feedback from the likes of Villalobos, Raresh and Matthew Dear amongst others, and YAYA and Chiabotti, fire out three original cuts here, that also come with a remix from Robert Dietz that ensures this is another massive package.

This pair have teamed up to great effect before now and have picked up praise from the likes of THUMP for their efforts. They have released on essential labels like Desolat and are a fresh sound that always makes its mark.

First up here is ‘The Fraud’, a dubby house roller with curious synth sounds popping up and raining down the face of the tune. It makes for a colourful cut that will amp up any dance floor. Next up is ‘Raiden’, another deep but driving jam with wonky bass, icy hi hat ringlets and steamy female vocals adding fuel to the fire and ensuring crowds will go wild when they hear it. The final original is ‘NoveNove’, a bumpy number that shows off this pair’s fantastic ability to programme infectious drums as well as layer in cosmic, soul infused synths.

Long time innovator and Desolat and Cadenza artist Robert Dietz then remixes ‘The Fraud’ into a rubbery, acid laced and tunnelling techno cut that is physical and forceful, and filled with a subtle tension that never lets up.

This is another slick EP from a young label that is already making itself essential listening.
