The influential AudioHell label looks to exciting UK talent Patch for its next EP. Featuring two fresh tracks with one remix from the boss himself, it is well formed package of deep club music for the more connoisseur floors out there.
Patch is a newly emerging producer who has worked in the music industry for a while and here showcases his love of hypnotic sounds. As a versatile talent in both the DJ booth and the studio, it’s no wonder this London based northerner has played all over the UK in the last 18 months, and his burgeoning reputation is steadily rising.
‘Grube’ opens things up in impressive style with rolling rubber drums forming a nice bed off which plenty of arcing synths, soft melodies and rolling basslines all work. It is a late night, zoned out tune that speaks to the soul and is followed by an ace AudioHell remix. The Italian label boss flips the cut into a more stripped back house cut with bouncy kicks, prickly percussion and the burrowing synth from the original all ensuring you get lost in the groove.
Last of all, Patch’s ‘Silhouette’ is a more colourful deep techno roller that is rippled with great little melodies and synths. Big hi hat ringlets and doom laden bass strokes all add drama and the whole thing manages to be subtle and emotive as well as highly impactful.
This is a fine debut from Patch and another great piece of A&R by AudioHell.
