With a string of successful releases on Kling Klong, Danse Club and Toolroom, Ackermann makes his SOSO debut, and does it in fine style.

Teaming up with Violet on vocal duties, they deliver the title track ‘Harm’. Some moody powerful synths set the tone, before swirling fx add depth and the sultry vocal lands. A tad of wonkiness, and and some phat sounds grace the soundscape, while clever vocal fx and plenty of emotion raise this gem higher and higher.

Picking up the pace we find ‘Grant’. Quite a techie affair here for SOSO, as we venture more techno edged, and fairly stripped back, allowing the blippy melodic pattern to work its magic, and lock you in to its hypnotic spell. Subtle tweaks and trippy edges add to this winner, and it packs quite a punch too!

Back to the vocal edged vibes here, as Nemelka joins Ackermann on ‘Would Know’. We go moody and restrained, but with plenty of depth, as the sound scape unfurls and vocoder like effects tweak the vocal, adding a spacious and weird yet wonderful approach. Dark yet with plenty of melodiy, making this haunting number shine.
