Having launched our 2016 with his excellent Urban Noise EP, Offenbach resident Wigbert returns to SCI+TEC, looking to close out his year in style with December’s release of the ‘Fall’ EP.
Having already explored many musical paths in his career, Wigbert’s sound is now an impressive amalgamation of all that has come before, matched with a tougher, more driving dancefloor delivery. His love of analogue hardware has filtered from the studio to the stage where, in combination with his digital set-up, his energetic live performances are electrifying dancefloors worldwide.
The title track opens Wigbert’s latest SCI+TEC excursion with its cascading synths and thumping kick-drum. The deeper acidic touch and echoing beams of the aptly named ‘Recover’, settles us after our Fall, before the German closes the EP with the purring bass and titanic horns of ‘Something Else’.
